Love Island’s Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish certainly set tongues wagging on Monday evening, after fans suspected that Liberty’s “missing” bracelet was a sign that she should ditch Jake.
In a rather short scene that took place near the end of the programme, Liberty showed her distress to Kaz Kamwi and Chloe Burrows when she thought her bracelet had disappeared.
The sentimental piece of jewellery that was gifted to her by her beau Jake was in fact safe and sound and lying on the bathroom floor- which Chloe quickly informed her.
Later on the show, Liberty expressed her joy to Jake and told him that she had previously felt anxious.
But due to Liberty’s initial nervousness and the fact that producers decided to shine light on it, some fans believe that there is something more going on.
Rushing to Twitter, viewers expressed their thoughts on the matter.
One fan penned: “Liberty the fact you lost the bracelet it seems like a sign that Jake is trash and needs to get dashed away quickly.”
Another said: “IDK why they’re making this bracelet thing a storyline but maybe liberty should’ve taken loosing it as a sign.”
A third chimed: “Shut up with the bracelet gate. Liberty losing her bracelet is a sign if that isn’t I don’t know what is.”
“Liberty losing her bracelet and Millie breaking her Sagittarius necklace and them both not understanding that the universe is trying to save them!!” A fourth exclaimed.
Liberty and Jake have been partnered with each other since day one and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend a few weeks ago.
Although things appeared to be rather blissful between the pair, the couple hit a bump in the road when Liberty watched Jake admit that he didn’t “want to rip her clothes off” during the movie challenge.
Feeling unattractive and unwanted, Liberty confronted Jake but Jake continued to reassure Liberty and reminded her that she is his girlfriend.
For several weeks, viewers at home have believed that Jake may not be that into Liberty and is using her to secure his place in the final.
Suspicions regarding Jake’s character grew even more intense when he appeared to encourage the boys to cheat while in Casa Amor.
But with so much emphasis placed on the missing bracelet storyline on Monday night’s episode, could fans actually be on to something?
