Although the 37-year-old actress has lived quite a dramatic life on-screen, the auburn beauty couldn’t be any further from her fiery character as the loving wife of Chris Farr and mother of Hilda and Albert prefers to keep her personal life away from the prying eyes of the media.

So the Daily Star has taken a look inside Jennie’s love life away from the cameras as she marks her fourth wedding anniversary.

Despite her fame on the long-standing soap, Jennie opted for a small wedding to her beau after they tied the knot in January 2017 away from prying eyes.

In an effort to keep the wedding low-key, the two love birds made things official at Trafford Town Hall with only their son Albert, now six, and two witnesses present at the ceremony.

The happy couple announced the exciting news on Twitter alongside a sweet snap of the pair holding hands as the flaunted their wedding bands to the camera.

Speaking on the ITV1 talk show Loose Women at the time, the auburn beauty told viewers: “Secret isn’t the word. Surprise is more the word.

“We just wanted it so that our parents knew. My dad knows me and that’s what I would have done.

“Somebody said to me ‘weren’t you friends really annoyed?’ and I thought ‘No I haven’t got any friends that would be annoyed with me.’

“I love a good wedding and I hope that I’m invited. For myself I just wanted it low key. I didn’t want to be the centre of attention.”

After their intimate celebration, the newlyweds darted off to a farm in Wales for their honeymoon with their little man Albert.

It was in 2017 that fans got to see more of Jennie’s family life outside of the show when she appeared in I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here and made it all the way to the final four.

The doting mum was heartbroken to miss her son’s third birthday while she was on the show as she shared her motherly wisdom to her fellow campers throughout the series.

And fans couldn’t help but fall in love with her son Albert as Chris flew the pair out to Australia to greet his mum at the end of the rope bridge when she finally left the jungle after three long weeks away from home.

And after four years of marriage, the couple have only gone from strength to strength as they welcomed their second child together, who they named Hilda, in October 2018.

The two now share Annie’s tearoom and restaurant which has become a particular hotspot in Manchester while Fiz continues to get up to mischief on the Manchester-based soap.

Coronation Street continues Friday on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
