Love Island viewers gobsmacked over Liberty Poole's accidental swipe at Millie Court

Love Island: Unseen Bits viewers have been left in hysterics as Liberty Poole attempted to reassure Millie Court when it came to her intelligence after Millie told her that Aaron had said that Liberty has “beauty and brains”.

Millie joked that he had said she was just “beauty”, as Liberty said that’s she’s “academic and wisdom” smart but reminded Millie that there are different kinds of smart.

As Millie was busy doing Faye’s hair, Liberty turned to her and said: “You’re smart at hair.”

Viewers quickly took to Twitter to react to Liberty’s comments, with one user writing: “Liberty trying to be nice to Millie ‘smart at hair’ (laughing emojis).”

Another added: “‘You’re smart at hair’, that’s not the compliment you think it is Lib hahaha.”

A third person wrote: “‘You’re smart at hair’ lmao give this girl the crown.”

Liberty’s swipe at Millie’s intelligence comes in the same episode where Millie thought Madrid was its own country and Liam didn’t know what a sibling was.

When Chloe, Toby, Liam and Millie chose to play a game of Mr & Mrs they were quizzing one another on personal lives, and Liam was asked for the name of Millie’s sibling and named her mum – admitting her thought a sibling meant a family member.

Although the occasional mix-up doesn’t go amiss when it comes to the Love Island villa, viewers were particularly shocked as just last night the couples took part in a challenge where they were rated by the public.

As part of the ratings, they were asked to choose the top three most intelligent, and landing second place – behind doctors-to-be Priya and Brett – were Millie and Liam.

Although Liberty made a subtle swipe at Millie, fans are adamant that she didn’t mean anything negative by it and was just trying to lift her pal up.

It comes after Priya told Liberty that she is wise beyond her years and Millie agreed with her, and Liberty recognised that she had previously been awarded for her wisdom.

Love Island continues tomorrow on ITV2 at 9pm.
