Sunday night’s episode of Love Island is set to get dramatic and potentially a bit awkward as the couples vote for the least compatible among them.
With just a week to go until the grand finale, the producers will be set to start cutting weaker couples from the villa before the final vote.
And in Sunday’s episode, they leave it in the hand of the islanders, when Toby Aromolaran receives a daunting text.
It reads: “Islanders. Tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are the least compatible. Those who receive the most votes risk being dumped from the island.
“You must now decide in your couples who you are going to choose and submit your decision by text. You must not discuss your decision with anyone else. #judgementday #gowithyourgut.”
The couples start making their decisions, but the time soon comes for them to submit their choice by text.
Which couples will have been voted least compatible by their co-stars, and what will their fate be?
The tough decision comes after a fun night of dinner dates, when the boys are tasked with cooking up a storm for their ladies.
Liam Reardon takes Millie Court a starter of asparagus, and she asks him: “Is this an aphrodisiac?”
But the confused lad asks: “Aphrodisiac? What’s that?”
Over with Priya Gopaldas and Brett Staniland, their conversation talks to past relationships as she asks him: “Have you ever been in love?”
He tells her: “No. I’ve never said ‘I love you’ to anyone. Do you feel like there is something wrong with me now?”
She laughs back: “Yes, I feel like you’re a bit of a robot!”
When it’s time for the main course, Chloe Burrows tells Toby: “I love garlic bread! Do you want to do some snogging after garlic bread?”
Toby replies: “I don’t mind!
But it’s clearly not to Faye Winter’s taste, as she said: “I hate pasta.”
Teddy Soares tries to sweeten the course though as he offers: “What if I feed it to you?”
Will the lads have impressed the ladies with their cooking skills?
Elsewhere, Liberty Poole tells the girls about Jake Cornish’s L-bomb – but they’re far from impressed despite Lib’s excitement.
Chloe says: “You’re going to hate me. Do you not think he’s telling you what you want to hear?”
Liberty asks her friends: “Do you think I’m being an idiot?”
Chloe replies: “I don’t think he would say something if he didn’t mean it but I also think is it convenient that he said it this evening after all of this?”
The chat follows Liberty’s doubts about her relationship with Jake, with the other girls describing him as a “showman”.
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub
