Sheridan Smith has sparked fresh romance rumours as she appears to hit the dating scene again just one month after her split from fiancé Jamie Horn.
The Cilla actress has recently reconnected with her hunky actor friend Alex Lawler who she has known for more than 20 years.
But that didn’t stop her loyal legion of fans from suggesting the two looked like a couple as the pair beamed from ear to ear in their sweet selfies together.
The 40-year-old shared a recent video with the actor as they cosied up together in the back of a car which has led fans to theorise the pair could be dating.

The TV star sent fans in a frenzy when she captioned to video: “He doesn’t need a filter (unlike me ) I love you Alex Lawler.”
Her 666,000 followers soon flooded her Instagram as fans implied the pair could be in the early throes of love after her gushing caption on Instagram.
One user wrote: “One day hubby,” while another asked: “Is this your new man?”

The Daily Star has contacted Sheridan’s representative for a comment.
This comes after Sheridan and her now ex-fiancé Jamie called time on their relationship last month just one year after they welcomed their son Billy, whose name was inspired by her favourite comedian Billy Connolly.
Sheridan first met the 31-year-old insurance broker on Tinder back in 2018 and sparks flew between them after they got engaged just months later.
The former couple were last seen on screen together when they appeared in Sheridan’s ITV documentary together titled Sheridan Smith: Becoming Mum which followed her pregnancy journey last year.
But it wasn’t meant to be as the couple issued a joint issue to The Sun on Sunday which read: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.

“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Sheridan has won multiple awards for her acting abilities and took part in countless BBC dramas and comedies including Gavin and Stacey, The Royle Family and Jonathan Creek.
She has also gone on to perform on the West End stage and currently stars in the latest adaptation of The Railway Children which will be released later on this year.
