Love Island teaser confirms meet the parents as Millie and Liam's families send selfies

The Love Island villa was tense on Friday night, as Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish bade an emotional farewell to the villa after breaking up.

But things are set to get even more emotional when the show returns on Sunday, as the islanders get ready for the meet the parents challenge.

In the teaser trailer clip for Sunday night, the trees around the villa could be seen strewn with photos of Chloe and Toby as they headed on their final date.

Commentator Iain Stirling announced: “On Sunday night, it’s the last epic dates.”

And later, there were shocked faces all round, as Millie Court received a text.

“Is that your mum and dad?” Millie could be heard asking, as Chloe gushed: “That’s my mum and my sister!”

“Where are they, babe?” Millie begged.

The islanders each received selfies of their families, leaving them excited to finally reunite with those back home.

It means Millie and Liam’s families will finally get to meet face-to-face after Liam’s antics with Lillie Haynes in Casa Amor.

Thankfully, Millie’s dad has been showing the couple plenty of support throughout the series, even dropping a cryptic message as Liam fought hard to win Millie back in the main villa.

His neon signage business posted a message on Facebook which read: “LOVE IS A RISK… Sometimes you gotta roll ’em!”

He also hinted that he wouldn’t mind Liam being the father to his grandkids during this week’s baby challenge, as Millie and Liam became doting parents to animatronic baby Jackson.

Writing on social media, Millie’s dad Rob Court posted alongside a snap of them holding the doll: “I hope to be a grandad one day! Some say… in me cardigan and slippers, I’m pretty much already there!”

Faye’s family have also spoken out previously about her row with Teddy, so if their families also arrive at the villa tensions could be high.

A statement shared on Faye’s official Instagram story read: “We understand that fans of Love Island have opinion on Friday night’s episode.

“While we don’t want to comment on the events of the show, we ask everyone to remember: You are watching a highly edited TV show which is created for entertainment – you can never see the full picture.

“Faye is human. She may not always get things right. There are human beings managing the Islander’s social media pages who will be seriously affected by your comments.”

Faye and Teddy have since made up from the explosive row, and finally became boyfriend and girlfriend during their super romantic final date, in a pool surrounded by rose petals.

Love Island continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub.
