It seemed like a Love Island match made in heaven for heavily inked Dale Mehmet to meet tattoo artist Abigail Rawlings on the show – but while love didn’t blossom Abi will soon be tattooing Dale.
Abigail, 27, from Bournemouth, revealed that Dale, 24, from Glasgow, will be making a trip down to get tattooed by her in a few weeks.
Beautiful brunette Abi joked that most of the islanders asked her for a tattoo, and while she’s happy to she insisted they have to travel to her.
A successful tattooist before entering the villa, Abi says she’ll be going back to work this week.
“Wednesday is my first day back and I can’t wait, I’m so excited!” she exclusively told Daily Star, adding that Dale is the only Islander to have confirmed a tattoo with her.
“I’m supposed to be tattooing Dale in a few weeks, on his neck, so that should be cool,” she explained.
“He wants some butterflies, which I’m more than happy to do because I love a butterfly.”
Tattooing is her main love in life, insisted Abi, and the attention after Love Island is just a bonus.
“I never wanted to be an influencer. I mean, I’ll give it a go!” she laughed. “But tattooing will always be my passion.”
She has her sights set on being the UK’s version of Kat Von D now too.
“I’m trying to create a YouTube channel series, I just think it’d be like a fun thing to do,” said Abi.
“I want to get different islanders or other famous people that I know, to tattoo them and interview them. I think people might want to watch it just because they’re curious with the process, or even just come in to see whoever it is .”
She added: “I’m hoping that they might be fun! I’d definitely like to be the next Kat Von D. If they go well maybe I can pitch it to ITV or something.”
Love Island continues on ITV2.
