Loose Women Judi Love's strict workout regime unveiled ahead of Strictly debut

Judi Love has revealed strict workouts are helping her to get in shape for her first dance on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 41-year-old star is currently undergoing high-intensity interval training sessions and lifting weights.

The Loose Women star is also fasting in preparation for the show but admitted the workouts could her get into a routine.

Speaking about the intense 15-minute HIIT workouts, she told The Mirror: “I’m not doing exactly how the trainer is telling me to do it, but I’m doing it.

“There was a battle, but I thought even if I do half of it, which I manage … before I know it I’ve done the 15 minutes.

“Throughout the day I can always look back and think, ‘At least I’ve done 15 minutes this morning.’

“I try to do a lot of fasting as well.”

Despite the cardio being tough at times for Judi, she is enjoying lifting weights.

She continued: “I think the only exercise when I do it I feel the endorphins and feel powerful is when I do a little bit of weights. That would be my exercise addiction.

“I do weights on the legs, pushing on the machines, hand weights as well. I like the feeling of strengthening my body more than necessarily cardio.”

The comedian has been working out ahead of her first dance

In a bid to adopt a healthy lifestyle Judi has been making small changes such as using the stairs more.

Speaking on fellow comedian Jason Manford’s Feel Good Tool Kit podcast Judi was asked if she likes to fit?

She said: “I was going to say, ‘Have a look at me.’

“I’m a plus-sized girl and people just think, ‘You’re not fit.’

“I must say, over the last year or so I’m thinking more about my health.

“If I go to a building and there’s a lift and some stairs, I will try my best to take the stairs instead.

“So, it’s those little things I’m trying to be a bit more aware of. So I’m going to say yes, kind of. Almost.”

Last week, it was only announced that Judi had joined the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

The announcement was made during an episode of Loose Women where Judi is a panellist.

None of her fellow colleagues on the show had an idea the comedian was joining until she shared the news.

Judi is expected to make her dancing debut in the dancing competition next month where she will go up against the likes of Robert Webb, Tom Fletcher and Tilly Ramsay.

It still remains unknown who Judi will be paired up with for the show but an announcement is said to be made soon.
