Lily Allen had a savage response to one fan on social media who threatened to “steal her husband” – and she didn’t hold back.
The stunning Smile singer, 36, has been happily married to Hollywood star David Harbour since the pair tied the knot on September 7 in Las Vegas last year after just one year of dating.
The stars eloped in style, too, because their wedding was officiated by an Elvis impersonator.
The songstress had previously been in a relationship with the Stranger Things actor back in 2019, and they made their red carpet debut as a celebrity couple at the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
However, it looks like the chart-topping pop star has some serious competition from her fans on social media.
Taking to Twitter, one bold fan posted a photo of Lily’s handsome husband, and couldn’t resist gushing over the 46-year-old hunk.
In the photo, David could be seen sporting a smart shirt and tie combo as he leaned on a sofa rather seductively.
The Twitter user then told Lily: “Sorry Lily Allen but I’m stealing your husband.”
The fan was in for a shock when Lily herself spotted the teasing remark in front of her whopping 5.2million followers.
Lily was up for the challenge when she simply replied: “I’d like to see you try.”
Her fans couldn’t help but engage in some flirty banter in the comment section below the tweet.
Another fan wrote: “I’m sorry to tell you Lily but this is out husband.”
A third penned: “Lily, be a cupid and find me one of this [David]. Tell him to DM me. I respect your marriage and God.”
One puzzled fan speculated if Lily had searched up her own name on Twitter – given that the original fan hadn’t tagged her in the tweet.
When the baffled user asked: “Does Lily Allen search twitter for her own name?” Lily confirmed: “Yes.”
At Lily’s wedding, she and David were joined by Lily’s daughters Ethel and Marnie – whom she shares with her ex-hubby Sam Cooper.
Discussing how they met, Lily revealed that the pair met on a dating app called Raya.
Chatting to The Sunday Times Style magazine, she said that they met “on an … uh … er … app”.
Recalling their first date, she said: “We went to the Wolseley – I’m so posh! – and there’s this middle table in the middle section that’s underneath a clock, and I remember looking at him, and it reminded me of Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic, you know? When she’s going to meet him under the clock.”
