The I Lay My Love On You singer had been working on the album during lockdown where he was headhunted by theatre moguls.

Speaking about his upcoming project and collaboration with the two stars, Mark told The Sun: “When two Broadway legends get in touch to invite you to sing on their amazing new album, especially such a beautiful song about the father-daughter relationship, you jump at the chance. It is incredible to be part of this.”

But now Mark could be set swap arenas for the Broadway stage.

Scott Alan has worked with some of the biggest theatre stars spoke about Mark and his future on the stage.

Mark’s 1-year-old daughter was born via surrogacy which was a three-and-a-half-year process

Scott said: “The opportunity to have someone of Mark’s stature, whose voice emotes so much strength and emotion, singing my music and lyrics and Ben’s arrangement and orchestration is beyond our wildest dreams.

“One of the greatest parts of working together in the studio with Mark was his instinctive theatricality. We were so impressed by his delivery and how much of the story he was able to evoke in three minutes.”

Scott went on to say that he thought Mark had a “bright future” ahead of him in the theatre, admitting they were “lucky” to have him.

Mark shares his daughter with fiancé Cailean O’Neill who welcomed Layla via surrogate.

It took the couple a three-and-a-half-year process before they got to where they are today.
