Dannielynn Birkhead is a dead ringer for Anna Nicole Smith and admires all her late mum achieved.
The American actress, actress and TV personality passed away in 2007 and the circumstances surrounding Dannielynn’s life since she was born can be described as a rollercoaster ride.
Smith led a tragic life just like her idol Marilyn Monroe.
She first gained popularity in Playboy magazine when she won the title of 1993 Playmate of the Year and she modelled for fashion companies, including Guess, H&M, Heatherette and Lane Bryant.
Her highly publicised second marriage to 89-year old billionaire J. Howard Marshall resulted in speculation that she married the octogenarian for his money, claims which she furiously denied.
As Danniellyn turns 15 years old, Daily Star has taken a look into the life of Smith’s teenage daughter.
Family tragedy

Anna Nicole Smith, real name Vickie Lynn Hogan, passed away 14 years ago on February 8 2007 as a result of an overdose, just months after her son Daniel’s death and leaving behind a newborn daughter Dannielynn.
Smith started dating photographer Larry Birkhead in secret and she announced she was pregnant with her second child in 2006.
The baby girl was born in the Bahamas on September 7 2006 but the moment of joy was tainted by Daniel’s shock death.
Smith’s son flew to the Bahamas to meet his baby sister but their reunion was brief.
On the morning of September 10, Smith woke up find Daniel dead in the chair in her hospital from an overdose.

An autopsy revealed his cause of death to be related to methadone and two antidepressants.
Smith was devastated and shared her pain in an interview and revealed that she would rather have been the one to die.
Five months after Daniel’s s death, Smith was found unresponsive in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
Attempts were made to revive her but Smith followed in the steps of her icon Marilyn Monroe and died alone of an overdose.

Smith left behind five-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, whom she had claimed was Howard Stern’s child.
Former lover Larry Birkhead contested paternity and was proved to be the father by DNA tests.
Dannielynn lives in Kentucky, far from the bright lights and glamor her mother so craved.
Speaking to Fox News, Birkhead opened up about the last time he spoke to the mother of his child before she took her own life.
“My goal at the time was to try to get her to come back to the U.S. from the Bahamas, and I had almost got her to that place of saying that she would do it,” Birkhead recalled.
“We still had that connection and she was really more curious about what I was doing at the time, the last time I spoke with her. I told her that I was going on a tour with a country artist, this female country artist.”
Mums the word

Larry says Dannielynn is a big fan of her mum’s work, which included modelling jobs for the fashion house Guess and roles in Ally McBeal and Naked Gun 1/3 : The Final Insult.
“We went into the Guess store the other day, and Dannielynn saw a big poster of Anna and said, ‘Oh boy, she nailed that shot’.”
Last year, the teen confessed her love of acting: “It’s really cool to like, act as a character and not yourself.
“It’s like portraying a new person. It’s fun.”

Life looks to be shaping up a little differently for the schoolgirl who admiringly prefers homework over glam.
According to dad Larry, the teenager is definitely drawn by everything Hollywood has to offer.
But the photographer argues that Dannielynn has no intentions of letting fame dictate her. Instead, she plans to build a life in her own way.
“She’s determined to be her own person,” he previously told Touch Weekly.

Proud dad
Dannielynn lives a normal life with her father at their Kentucky home.
She is the proud owner of a pet lizard, enjoys playing the violin, and has an obsession with Snapchat.
Larry clearly wants a more normal life for Dannielynn.
Like any good parent, he monitors her social media. This way, the worried dad can keep an eye on what she reads about Smith, who wasn’t always painted in the best light by the media.
In a recent US 20/20 special, Tragic Beauty, the teenager also retraced Smith’s roots, returning to her mum’s hometown, Mexia, Texas.

Larry and Dannielynn honoured Anna’s memory in 2017 when they went to the Bahamas, the place Dannielynn was born, to celebrate the late actress’s 50th birthday.
In May last year, Larry shared a rare picture of Anna in a tributary post.
The picture showed Anna visiting patients of a nursing home. In Larry’s caption, he said that Anna’s good deeds and kind nature never made tabloid headlines.
Dannielynn might love the idea of acting, but right now she’s happy burying her head in the books.
Committed to her studies, the teen has already knocked back offers for movies and ads.
But Larry thinks that could change if the right offer came along – she loves Stranger Things, so apparently she’d be on the set at the drop of a hat.
