Love Island star Faye Winter, known for her wild outbursts and brown lipstick, has ditched one of her trademarks, making her look unrecognisable.
Faye, who came in third in the 2021 series of the ITV2 dating show with her partner Teddy Soares, had decided to leave her signature brown lipstick at home for Thursday night’s National Television Awards (NTAs).
Appearing on the red carpet with Teddy on her arm, Faye looked stunning in a white dress, a thick bejewelled necklace, her hair slicked back into a ponytail and a red lip.
Although we are used to seeing her with a brown lip, perhaps it was simply a Love Island phase, as she rocked the bright red lipstick as she smiled at Teddy and posed for the camera.
Teddy cleaned up nicely too, wearing an all-black suit to provide a stark contrast to his girlfriend.
Love Island fans have been asking Faye to ditch her brown lipstick obsession all summer, commenting that she looked much better with a different colour – as proven by the NTAs – or without a lipstick at all.
Though Faye began as a fan-favourite, her popularity deteriorated for a while after the couple dealt with the fallout from Casa Amor.
The pair now seem extremely strong, but had major arguments while in the villa, with Faye screaming at Teddy during the infamous ‘Movie Night’ row. The scene received over 25,000 Ofcom complaints with viewers asking producers to remove her from the show.
Since leaving the villa, Faye has said she is “deeply embarrassed” by what happened while Teddy defended his girlfriend: “We understand each other quite well so I could definitely see why she would be annoyed.”
“It was a surreal moment that would never happen in the real world. I was devastated that I hurt her, I never like to see her cry – it was painful to see,” he added.
Faye was not the only Love Island star in attendance at the NTAs, as the show is up for a gong in Best Challenge Show alongside Great British Bake Off, Great British Sewing Bee, and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Chloe Burrows and boyfriend Toby Aromolaran, Liberty Poole, Lucinda Strafford, and this year’s winners Liam Reardon and Millie Court also attended the NTAs. Jake Cornish declined to attend.
