Coronation Street fans are set for some nail-biting drama next week when returning character Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar) is attacked.
The character is set for an exciting return after last being seen on-screen in 2018.
But it doesn’t go well for Zeedan, with his sister Alya (Sair Khan) struggling with his return.
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that she buries the doubts she’s having and accepts her brother’s loan of £50,000.
However she’s soon left furious when Zeedan launches a verbal attack on Ryan for cheating on Alya.
She points out that Ryan was right by her side through the horrific Geoff ordeal, while Zeedan was nowhere to be seen.

Alya tells him to keep his money.
Yasmeen (Shelley King) plans a family meal but, outside Speed Daal, two thugs make a grab for Zeedan.
Soon, he’s found slumped in the ginnel, battered and bleeding, when Elaine (Paula Wilcox) and Cathy (Melanie Hill) pass by.
At the hospital, Alya and Simon (Alex Bain) ask Zeedan about his attackers, but he says he has no idea who they were.

Having seen Zeedan and Ryan’s earlier argument, Simon wonders if Alya’s ex could be responsible.
Zeedan soon gives a statement to Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and suggests it might have been Ryan.
But Ryan is left furious and tears a strip off Zeedan for trying to frame him, as he’d been working all afternoon.
Soon, Zeedan comes clean to Yasmeen and Alya, explaining he’s in trouble.

Later, Yasmeen makes it clear she doesn’t want her grandson’s money and is ashamed by his behaviour.
He apologises to Ryan for wrongly accusing him, revealing that Alya still thinks a lot of him, leaving Ryan’s hopes lifted.
Yasmeen eventually lays down the law with Zeedan and says she’ll take the loan – but he must remain under her roof so she can keep an eye on him.
Zeedan was last seen on Corrie in 2018, after his ex-wife Rana’s affair with Kate Connor was revealed.
He and Rana went along with a plan to stay a couple for a year so he would get some money to open a restaurant.
But they got divorced by the end of the year, and Rana was killed in the Underworld factory collapse in 2019, with Zeedan missing the funeral.
