Piers Morgan warns Meghan Markle he will 'give her nightmares' as he reignites feud

Piers Morgan has sparked his ongoing feud with Meghan Markle after he announced his new job with News UK earlier this week.

The 56-year-old star has warned the Duchess of Sussex that he will continue to make things a “nightmare” for her in his new position.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge left Good Morning Britain back in March of this year after he refused to apologise for his comments made about the Duchess after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Following his explosive exit, it was thought the mum-of-two complained to ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall regarding his comments in which he said he “didn’t believe” her claims of suicidal thoughts and issues of racism in the royal family.

Now six months on, the father-of-four has warned the Suits actress there will be more drama to come as he celebrated his new position at his Scarsdale Tavern in Kensington.

Speaking to The Sun, Piers said: “And I need to say a special thank you to Meghan. As we sit drinking now, it was five years ago that I met her here.

“And I bet she was sitting there celebrating my departure from Good Morning Britian so this move will be the stuff of nightmares for her. So, cheers Meghan”

Despite his rather unconventional leaving on GMB, the TV presenter still has the full support of his former colleagues behind him as members of the ITV crew congratulated him on his new post online.

Journalist Charlotte Hawkins shared snaps of her former co-star and wrote: “Well done to him, he’s raising a celebratory pint there.”

Richard Arnold also congratulated Piers on his new posting, which read: “My ears, my eyes, a global deal!

“Just when we were going to have a whip-round to make sure he could have a bird at the table at Christmas,” he joked.

Piers soon lost his job presenting on Good Morning Britain after he stormed off live on air

Piers will be returning to his former employer Rupert Murdoch for this new chapter in his life as he waits to ride the helm of the new news channel between News Corp and Fox News Media.

The doting dad shared an excited statement after he found out the news, which read: “I’m thrilled to be returning to News Corp. which is where I began my media career more than 30 years ago.

“Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together.”

He added: “I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.

“I’m also delighted to become a columnist for The Sun and the New York Post, two brilliantly successful and popular newspaper brands.

“I’m going home and we’re going to have some fun,” he concluded.
