Zoe Kravitz hits back after being accused of attending Met Gala 'practically naked'

Zoë Kravitz has hit back at criticism of her 2021 Met Gala outfit after she was accused of attending the event “practically naked”.

The actress took her opportunity to defend herself after scathing comments made on Instagram about her choice of dress for the swanky red carpet bash.

Hollywood star Zoë, 32, walked the red carpet at the prestigious arts bash held at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in a see-through heavily embellished gown.

The design from fashion house Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello saw the crystal slip dress paired with a matching silver crystal thong.

While the Big Little Lies star won the approval of most of her fans with her glamorous couture look, one wasn’t so impressed and took to Instagram to air their disdain.

They wrote: “I don’t understand why they go practically naked. She’s gorgeous. Why does she feel the need to wear a dress like this?”

A miffed Zoë responded to the critique of her choice of frock – and made it clear she wasn’t happy about the negative input.

She said: “Being uncomfortable with the human body is colonisation/brainwashing. It’s just a body. We all got ’em.”

Many fans then leaped to her defence as they congratulated her for her reply and her stunning physique.

One wrote: “Zoe for president,” as another added: “Yes Zoe!!”

A third replied directly to the less than complimentary earlier comment explaining why it was ok for Zoë to rock her skimpy attire in their eyes.

They said: “Because Zoe’s naked body is gorgeous? Simple equation the weird body-shamer didn’t get.”

Zoë has previously lashed out at her body being publicly discussed with an Instagram post earlier this year.

In July she posted a story titled “Zoë Kravitz Goes Braless While Meeting Up With Friend For Lunch” to her stories and suggested she felt it was inappropriate in the modern climate.

She captioned the upload: “Time to evolve. How is this headline ok?”

She was joined at the Met Gala by her rumoured boyfriend and Magic Mike hunk Channing Tatum.

Sadly he chose not to share his body on the night, keeping it covered in a swanky Donatella Versace black tuxedo.
