Richard Madeley shouts 'I'll cut you off' as Insulate Britain activist walks off GMB

Things became very tense on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday when protestor Liam Norton got into a fiery shouting matching with presenter Richard Madeley about home insulation and the climate crisis.

The protestor became rather infuriated quite quickly with Susanna Reid and with Richard, 65, particularly when he reminded him that his protests, that have been taking place on the M25 caused a passenger who was caught in traffic to have a stroke.

Richard also labelled Liam as a “fascist” and that his protests have had lead to huge consequences.

Richard said: ” A couple of days later a woman suffered a stroke sitting in in a car in solid traffic.”

He added: “The woman couldn’t get to hospital in time and she is now paralysed, you can not argue that it’s not a direct result from your actions.

“How can you possibly justify putting a woman in hospital who can not speak and not move because of what you were doing?

“What would you say to the son if he was standing here right now?”

Liam replied: “We tried to get in contact with LBC…”

But Richard was having none of it, and exclaimed that “he didn’t care” and told Liam if he says something stupid “he’ll cut him off”.

However, things escalated further when Liam couldn’t get his point across, which lead him to blast his opinions while on live television.

“We’re talking about the future of country, we’re talking about the destruction of our health service. We’re right!” Liam shouted.

In a fit of rage, as the conversation continued Liam ended up shouting at Richard and stormed off the set, similar to Piers Morgan that walked off the programme in March.

Seeing the drama unfold, viewers aired their concerns regarding what took place.

One GMB fan said: “When you walk out you’ve lost the argument?? Like Morgan????”

Another penned: “Liam digging that hole lol. I’m actually cringing here, and listen up: I’ve done this type of protesting before and it doesn’t work.”

A third commented: “He done a pier’s walking off.”

While a fourth chimed: “Oh the insulate britian guy pulling a Piers Morgan.”

Earlier in the interview, Liam appeared to hit a brick wall with the presenters when it came to light that he himself had not insulated his home despite protesting for home insulation.

Since the protests have begun over 38 protestors have been arrested for blocking the M25 and causing traffic.
