Strictly’s Aljaž shares gruelling routine so he can join Sara Davies for school run

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Aljaž Škorjanec has shared the reason behind why he and his celebrity partner Sara Davies star their training in the early hours of the morning.

The Slovenian dancer joined his 37-year-old partner on BBC’s Morning Live on Monday as they shared their thoughts on Saturday night’s show in which the couple performed the Cha Cha Cha to The Boss by Diana Ross.

But as much as the pair enjoyed their routine out on the dancefloor during the live show, the Dragon was hit with some firm words of criticism from notoriously harsh judge, Craig Revel Horwood.

Now the dynamic duo have shared what life has been like for them for the past two weeks as the 31-year-old admitted the pair start dancing from 6am every day.

Strictly’ Aljaž has revealed the touching reason why he starts training at 6am each day

As they welcomed him on the show, Aljaž explained how he has been settling into life up north.

He told viewers: “She asked me if we could start earlier so we could get one school run in through the week.

“And I actually went above that and I made sure that every day we start latest six o’clock so we can finish at the latest two or three and Sara can go and do a school run every single day.”

But the pro dancer didn’t want to see her jet off all on her own, so he has been accompanying his dance partner to every school run since they were first coupled up.

He confessed: “And I’ve actually been going with her and we get to the school about 3.30 Gethin, and we leave at about six o’clock because there’s a lot of parents outside, there’s a lot of kids that want to say hello. But training up north is just such a beautiful feeling.

“Everywhere you walk, the support for Strictly Come Dancing in general, and no one is scared to stop you on the street and tell you how much they enjoy the show, and how much they’re going to be rooting for me and Sara. It’s been beautiful.”

And the dancer even joins her on the trip each day and revealed they spend hours talking to doting fans at the school

Since the move, Sara has described Aljaž as “an extended part of the family” and shared how he has bonded with her sons, seven-year-old Oliver and four-year-old Charlie.

And it seems like the feelings are mutual as the dancer compliments his “superhuman” businesswoman as they continue to train relentlessly for next Saturday’s live show.
