Michelle Keegan distracts The One Show viewers as she teases epic Our Girl return

Michelle Keegan teased her potential return to Our Girl in a glamorous appearance on The One Show this evening (October 5).

The former Coronation Street star, 34, appeared on the BBC talk show on Tuesday night to discuss the release of the forthcoming third season of Sky comedy series Brassic.

Grilled by presenters Jermaine Jenas and Sam Quek, Michelle was also asked whether she would contemplate returning as army medic Georgie Lane in the hit military drama Our Girl.

Wincing as she responded, Michelle said: “I always get asked this actually and, you know what? I’ll never say never.

“The door has been left open for her so, who knows?

“Maybe in a couple of years, we might see Georgie again.

She added: “I loved playing Georgie and I love the show so who knows?”

She portrayed the character for a number of seasons before announcing in January last year that she was quitting the show.

Its supposed final season aired shortly afterwards.

Speaking about her exit, Michelle previously told The Sun: “I’ve had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.

“Playing Georgie has been a life-changing role for me. I’ve loved every second of the adventure so it was a very hard decision to make not to return.

“I feel it is the right time to explore other exciting opportunities but I’m so happy to be part of the new series coming soon so it’s not the end just yet.”

The One Show viewers were also quick to comment on Michelle’s gorgeous appearance.

One fan wrote: “Michelle is bloody gorgeous.”

The One Show airs at 7.30 pm on weekdays on BBC One.
