I'm A Celeb: Piers Morgan, Lisa Riley and other stars who wouldn't take part in ITV show

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is set to return to our screens in just a few weeks.

The gruelling ITV show won’t be filmed in Australia for the second year running and instead will see famous faces swapping their life of luxury for a stay at the spooky Gwrych Castle in Wales.

With the new series – its 21st – almost upon us, the rumour mill keeps suggesting more potential campmates.

Former Strictly judge Arlene Phillips and TV hosts Richard Madeley are just the latest names attached to the show.

We’ll have to wait for confirmation – but who’s definitely not competing to be King or Queen of the Castle this year?

Piers Morgan

We’re guessing that’s a No, then?

The former GMB presenter has firmly rejected Ant and Dec’s jokey offer to join them at the castle.

Writing in his Daily Mail column, Piers said: “‘Well, he’s not working at the moment, so he’ll be looking for a job,’ scoffed Ant, as Dec cackled like a slathering hyena at the thought of luring me into their hellish jungle prison camp.

“Let me make one thing crystal clear: there’s no way I’m ever exposing myself to a series of ghastly gastronomic humiliations for the delectation of the British public.

“When I munch kangaroo testicles, I do so in the privacy of my home.”

Bimini Bon-Boulash

Bimini will stick with the fashion crowd for now.

Coming third in series two of Drag Race UK was just the start for fashion icon Bimini, who has been in demand ever since.

Don’t expect to see them on I’m A Celeb, though.

“I wouldn’t do I’m a Celeb because of animal things, and I’m vegan,” they told Digital Spy.

“So I don’t know. I wouldn’t be really wanting to eat a kangaroo’s testicle.

“But I’d do Strictly. Dancing On Ice or something like that would be quite fab.”

Katherine Jenkins

Katherine won’t be leading any campmates in a singalong

Mezzo soprano Katherine told North Wales Live: “Pretty much every year they say I’m going to be on it, especially last year [when it moved to North Wales].”

“To be honest, I love watching it but I wouldn’t do it.”

Katherine also explained she’s a vegetarian and so “wouldn’t eat the bugs” on the show.

She has had a taste of reality TV in recent years as she appeared on The Masked Singer UK.

The singer came third place on the wacky ITV talent show In February last year.

Nick Grimshaw

Grimmy won’t be signing up

Former Radio 1 stalwart Grimmy has dipped his toes into the reality TV fishbowl with appearances on Celebrity Gogglebox. Yet that’s as far as he’ll go.

During an interview with FUBAR radio recently, Nick said: “I don’t think I would. I honestly can’t with any creature. I don’t know how people do it. Like honestly, I just could not.”

He added: “I can’t even touch a cat. I couldn’t touch a snake. I couldn’t. Dogs I’m fine with but even my sister’s cats, I’m like: ‘Aahh!’. So there’s not a chance.”

Lisa Riley

Lisa is happier in the Dales

She wowed the Strictly ballroom in 2012, yet Lisa, whose return as Mandy Dingle has been a huge success. has no ambition to follow Emmerdale cast mate Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle) on to I’m A Celebrity.

Teetotal Lisa, 45, told Daily Star: “I love playing Mandy so much, that’s why I keep turning down other good roles.

“They offer me I’m A Celebrity every year and every year I say ‘no’.

“It’s not because of all the creepy crawlies or the challenges, I actually wouldn’t mind those. I would just be so bored in there. I have so much energy from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep.

“Being sat in camp all day would send me crazy. I would need to be stimulated all the time.”

Denise Van Outen

‘Never say never’ is Denise’s approach

Denise has also done Strictly and Celebrity Gogglebox, but she’s not ready for the jungle just yet.

The TV presenter, 47, who has also appeared in Neighbours, is keen to take part eventually, but has one caveat.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I do get asked to do it [I’m A Celeb] but there is no chance I can do it this year because I am at Proud [performing in a variety show].

“I will do it at some point. I think I’m A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.

“But it has to be Australia for me, not Wales – as much as I love the Welsh. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest..”

I’m A Celebrity is expected to return to ITV later this year
