Dermot O’Leary snapped at Alison Hammond for talking too much as he tried to interview Gok Wan on This Morning.
The ITV presenter gave his co-star Alison a stern telling off in front of the cameras after she began interrupting their interview segment on Thursday’s show (8 September).
Dermot and Alison were ready to interview his co-star and This Morning fashion presenter Gok Wan about his latest TV show called Bling, but the segment quickly took a turn.
Before chatting to Gok who had appeared in the studio, Dermot was meant to introduce his other guest, the show’s pawnbroker Mr Freeze who is an expert jeweler.
However, Alison rushed into the interview with fashion guru Gok before Dermot even had a chance to greet the second guest.
Alison began speaking to Gok about the show, saying: “So its called Bling…”.
However, she was promptly cut off by a disgruntled Dermot who snapped at her: “Hang on a minute, I haven’t introduced Mr Freeze!”
Realising her mistake, Alison cried out: “Oh, sorry!” and burst out laughing as Dermot replied: “Alright?” in a jokingly strict tone.
Dermot was finally able to introduce Mr Freeze into the studio as he stood quietly behind his counter, before resuming their chat with Gok.
Gok’s new television show, Bling, will tell the stories of more than 120 people as they hunt for the perfect piece of jewellery for a special occasion or hope to repair a treasured trinket.
The craft experts at the fix and make counters will have their skills stretched as they work on everything from necklaces to carriage clocks.
Taking to Facebook, Gok announced that Bling will air on ITV at 2pm from Monday (October 11).
Gok said: “My new show for @itv starts next week. Had the best time filming it with @twofourtv … I know you’re gonna love it!”
Speaking ahead of filming, Gok said: “Jewellery can mean so much more than simply being just an accessory, and figurines, timepieces and delicate heirlooms often carry a special significance.
“I can’t wait to see some beautiful bling and delve into the stories that really make it sparkle.”
The pilot for the new series was originally shot in Cornwall, but then the production team chose to film it in Exeter after deciding they wanted it to feel more like a proper shop, so they began looking for vacant stores.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
