Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan is about to make a huge TV comeback after a hiatus from screens since his exit from the news breakfast show in March.
But that hasn’t stopped former GB News host Andrew Neil from giving him some words of wisdom about his TV career.
Just three months after launching the new channel, Neil announced a break from the show and fled to France for the summer after just two weeks on air.
Following weeks of technical issues, which Neil branded humiliating, he announced his resignation from the channel and quickly branded his project a “disaster”.

As Piers prepares to return to screens on Rupert Murdoch’s News UK, Neil gave him a blunt warning.
He told the Financial Times: “Study my career over the past eight months, and then drive in the opposite direction.
“Take the fastest car you can get. Don’t even look in the rear-view mirror, just go.”
Neil’s split from GB News was not amicable, as he quickly revealed that working there had brought him “close to a breakdown”.

After the Mail reported that Neil “walked away from a £4m contract”, he said: “It was a big decision but I frankly couldn’t care if it was £40 million.
“This would have killed me if I’d carried on.”
Meanwhile, Piers’ new show is set to start on talkTV when the station launches in 2022.
As part of his mega-deal with Fox News Media and News Corp, Piers will also join The Sun and the New York Post as a columnist.

He abrupt quit GMB back in March after coming under fire for his comments about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, where the US actress said she was left feeling suicidal while being part of the royal family.
His rant the next day became Ofcom’s most about complained moment in their history, but they later ruled that ITV were not in breach of their guidelines by broadcasting his comments, as he was challenged by Susanna Reid and Alex Beresford on the day.
GMB airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
