Ozzy Osbourne has said that “worshipping the devil” has had a positive impact on his life after dodging coronavirus.
The Black Sabbath frontman has previously revealed that he would be “f****d” if he’d tested positive due to his current health issues that placed him in the vulnerable category.
Ozzy, 72, has narrowly avoided the virus that saw his wife Sharon, daughter Kelly and his granddaughter also test positive.
While Sharon, 69, may have made a full recovery, the former The X Factor judge was initially hospitalised due to the severity of her symptoms.
Their three-year-old granddaughter, Minnie, had also contracted the virus in September.
Now, Ozzy has jokingly admitted that Satanism had helped him from falling ill, he told Metal Hammer: “My wife had the virus. my daughter had the virus and I never got it.
“Being a devil worshipper does have its good points!”
In recent years, Ozzy’s health has rapidly deteriorated following a quad bike accident that left him with a broken neck, he told the publication that he is “looking at” more surgery.
The rockstar previously explained that he had been vaccinated in February 2021 while admitting that his health issues have made his respiratory system weak.
Ozzy told GQ magazine: “I’ve got emphysema, so if I get this virus, I’m f***d,” the star also suffers from Parkinson’s disease and went public with his diagnosis in January 2020.
Sharon recently reflected on Ozzy’s health, admitting that it “breaks your heart” that Ozzy wants to get back to a normal way of life and be around his bandmates.
Music mogul Sharon initially contracted the virus in December 2020, admitting that she “went through all the symptoms”.
Speaking on The Talk, she said: “I’m feeling really fine now, except that I’m still really tired. I nod off at ridiculous times of the day.
“I’m good, you know I went through all the symptoms – headache, eye ache, body ache, dizziness, sickness, all of it.”
The outspoken star continued: “I still can’t smell very much or taste very much.
“There are people who have it much worse than I got it. I think I came out very lucky, I am very lucky.”
Elsewhere on The Talk, Sharon explained that her son Jack’s daughter, Minnie, had contracted the virus “from somebody who works for my son”.
Sharon added: “She’s ok, her daddy doesn’t have it, her mommy doesn’t have it, her sister’s don’t,” while Kelly Osbourne believed she had the virus while suffering from a “bad chest infection”.
