This Morning star Holly Willoughby splashes out on telescope costing almost £5K

Starstruck Holly Willoughby has splashed out on a powerful telescope to help her get closer to the celestial bodies.

The out-of-this-world telly star is obsessed with the night sky and has just launched her own lifestyle website called Wylde Moon.

She has got a powerful Celestron telescope – which cost up to £4,800 – and top of the range camera so she can photograph the moon and other heavenly objects.

Holly said: “I’m always amazed at the magic that’s on the other end of the telescope.

“It’s like when I put my eye to the lens I’ve just zipped up my astronaut suit and I’m in space staring at all of these celestial beings.

“I feel so connected not only to the moon in that moment but also to the Earth.

“It makes me realise how tiny we actually are and yet how we’re all part of something much bigger.

“I spend most of my holidays gazing up at the night sky and there’s no better bit of kit than a Celestron telescope to help capture the moon.”

Holly, 40, said it was an `embodiment of me reaching a stage in life where, although I have lots of experience, I still don’t fully know who I am’

The This Morning star’s Wylde Moon website was inspired by her interest in the world of alternative therapies, including meditation and sound baths.

Holly, 40, said it was an “embodiment of me reaching a stage in life where, although I have lots of experience, I still don’t fully know who I am”.

The site has seven sections – women, moonboard, podcast, energy, beauty, style and family – is linked to a podcast with a boutique to follow.
