Joe Lycett’s house is haunted by a “ghost dog” which makes other pups “p**s in his doorway”.
The comedian’s home has become a toilet for his friends’ canines who are freaked out by the presence of the spooky mutt.
Joe, who has a cat called Winston, said: “I do think there may be a ghost dog in my house.
“There’s this one area that all dogs p**s in, it’s just in my doorway and they can be the most trained dog.
“I’ve sprayed all that anti-whatever down on there. But every dog that comes in eventually just has a little p**s in my doorway inside the house.”
The Great British Sewing Bee star, 33, added: “I’m always wiping up dog p**s when people come round and it’s this one spot and I reckon it’s a dog ghost.”
The outlandish star recently made headlines after he danced and showed a parody advert outside oil giant Shell’s offices in London to raise awareness about “greenwashing”.
The consumer champion will release an hour-long Channel 4 special to mark the COP26 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
The star, who is a regularly on British comedy panel shows such as, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats, arrived outside the offices in a yellow bus painted with a mural of a mock Shell advert featuring the caption “We’re turning our carbon emissions green for earth day”.
He and several dancers then performed a routine that culminated in Lycett being sprayed with grey paint to represent oil.
In the upcoming special, provisionally titled Joe Lycett vs The Oil Giant, the stand-up will examine the issue of greenwashing, where companies exaggerate their green credentials in their marketing output.
Lycett said: ‘The things I’ve learned making this documentary have been shocking. Expect sarcastic Twitter exchanges, Hollywood stars, me being confronted by some big burly security guards, and a spoof advert depicting the CEO of one of the biggest polluters on earth doing something truly disgusting.’
The Birmingham-born star is also set to appear on the new star-studded line up for the BBC’S hit series Who Do You Think You Are. Lycett will star alongside Dame Judi Dench, Ed Balls and Singer Pixie Lott, who will explore their family histories in a new series of the Bafta-winning genealogy show.
Lycett discovers a darker side to his family history as he finds out that his two-times-great grandfather was a boy chimney sweep in the 1850s who later joined the Royal Marines and travelled the world, but struggled to process his experiences.
