Phillip Schofield ‘obsessed’ with healing crystals thanks to co-star Holly Willoughby

This Morning host Phillip Schofield uses healing crystals after he says that co-star Holly Willoughby got him hooked.

The 59-year-old TV presenter said: “I believe in the power of crystals… I spend far too much time around Holly, but she’s convinced me that there’s a lot in that.”

He added they were part of his “spirituality” which let him be in “tune with the planet and with yourself”.

Phillip takes it so seriously he once left his prized amethyst geodes outside overnight in order to let the special pink super moon “cleanse” the rock.

Holly, 40, previously told This Morning viewers that she puts a piece of green fluorite crystal beside her son Chester’s bed to cure his terrifying nightmares.

She also often meditates before work while holding a crystal ball as well as doing a calming “morning ritual” in which she places a tealight and a crystal on her kitchen counter while white sage incense is burned in a copper pot.

But while Phillip admitted that he’s come to believe in the power of crystals, he confessed he does not believe in ghosts.

Phillip blamed his obsession of co-star Holly Willoughby

He said: “I’m a little bit of a proof sort of guy. I’ll believe anything if you can offer me some sort of proof… and I haven’t seen anything yet. Nothing that I truly believed in.”

Phillip was speaking ahead of This Morning’s special Halloween show, which comes as the ITV daytime favourite enjoys its best audience share since 2007.

The special show follows a hat-trick of award wins for This Morning, with an NTA, TV Choice and a TRIC award – all for best daytime programme.

This Morning’s Halloween show will air tomorrow from 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
