Holly Willoughby in hysterics as woman who breastfeeds boyfriend talks 'milky content'

This Morning’sHolly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left beside themselves on Monday, as a woman who breastfeeds her adult boyfriend appeared on the show.

Lana Michaels and her partner Shawn originally appeared on the Channel 4 documentary Breastfeeding My Boyfriend, and after the programme’s huge success are now encouraging more couples to be more “open” about their wants and needs.

They discussed breaking the taboos around adult breastfeeding on This Morning – leaving Phil and Holly in hysterics.

Phillip questioned the couple, who appeared via video link from Spain: “So you’ve taken it the next step forward, you’ve taken it online, and that started off being much more traditional goings on – and then turned into what’s called ‘milky content’.

“It’s, erm, very lucrative – £3,600 a month – and so there are obviously a lot of people who want to watch you doing that.”

Lana responded: “That’s true, and since the documentary aired, a lot of people have contacted us saying that they wish they could be more open about this, they find it difficult to speak about having this want to do it.

“A lot of females have also contacted us to try and find out how we do the process of getting the milk in, because they suddenly realised that it’s something they want to do too.”

Things got a lot stranger later on in the discussion, as Shawn referred to his girlfriend as an “animal” when quizzed about their vegan diet by Phil.

Fans were baffled by the segment

The pair originally met on a vegan dating website, and travelled across Europe to meet each other.

Phillip quizzed the pair: “You say that you want to break down the taboos and you also say you’re not hurting anybody and it’s not illegal. So what you do is entirely your own affair.

“But you’re both vegan! How does that work? Do humans not count, seeing as though we’re animals?”

Shawn responded: “The thing is that veganism is a movement in order to protect the rights of animals, and obviously she’s an animal but she’s an animal that is willing to breastfeed so as long as she’s happy.”

Gary Lineker was also in hysterics

“It’s about consent,” Lara interjected.

Talking about the excess milk that Lara produces, Phil asked: “So do you save it? Does it go in your coffee, does it go on the cornflakes?”

Shawn giggled: “It just goes straight into my mouth, that’s it.”

Lara admitted she wants to donate any surplus milk to a milk bank, for mothers who struggle to breastfeed.

As the video call cut off, Phil and Holly couldn’t help remarking on the state of football star Gary Lineker, who was in the studio and had erupted into hysterics himself.

The pair giggled in response as they looked back on the controversial segment.

Meanwhile, fans on Twitter were tweeting through their giggles, as one posted: “Did we just imagine that or did it really happen?”

Another giggled: “Haha poor Gary coming on after that!”

“I wonder if they’re on a tight schedule so she’ll breastfeed him once they’re done?” someone else posted.

However, other fans were more supportive of their lifestyle, as one penned: “Yes, it’s a bit weird but it’s breast milk that is meant for humans – cow’s milk isn’t!”

This Morning airs from 10am weekdays on ITV.
