Little Mix fans have speculated that the girls are going to go their separate ways after the release of their newest single Between Us.
Leigh Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall have said that they will be in ‘floods of tears’ when they perform after an interview they posted on the band’s Instagram page.
Perrie said: “It’s a song we will never be able to get through live”, and Leigh-Anne and Jade agreed with her, before she continued: “Every night on tour I think we are just going to be in floods of tears. It’s such a cute, stunning song.”
Leigh-Anne said: “I think it’s a song anyone can relate to. Whether you have lost someone or just have a friend or in a relationship, anyone you truly, truly love, I think this song is for them.”
Their new heartfelt tune touches upon the highs and lows that the girls have been through: “Like, damn, we got history, shared every misery, lived every victory, yeah, we got synergy, if they hurt you, they hurting me, that’s just the way it be”
“We walked through the fire and as the flames got higher it made us survivors, yeah it made us fighters, fighters.”
Perrie sings the chorus whilst the lyric video features pictures of the three girls throughout their time together at award shows, promotional shoots and in sentimental personal photos.
She says: “So, here’s my vow, starting from herе and now, nothing comes between us, nothing comes bеtween us
“I swear that we won’t lose this thing we found, ’cause love will never leave us, nothing comes between us, between us”
One commented: “I think it sounds like their last song.”
Another said: “If this is their last album together, I don’t think I’ll be able to move on. Please don’t let this be their last.”
Little Mix were the first band to win X Factor back in 2011 and have recently hit the headlines regarding the departure of former member Jesy Nelson.
Their greatest hits album is due for release next week after it was revealed that the three remaining members were ‘planning to announce their split’.
A source told The Sun last month: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached. A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”
The group have fallen out with former bandmate Jesy who left in December 2020 due to her deteriorating mental health.
Jesy’s first solo single sparked massive controversy after she was accused of cultural appropriation due to her appearance in the video for Boyz featuring Nicki Minaj.
