Jeff Bezos has responded to the viral footage of his girlfriend Lauren Sánchez meeting Leonardo Di Caprio.
The internet has been going wild at Lauren’s reaction to meeting the Hollywood superstar.
In the clip, a seemingly unimpressed Bezos turns away before attempting to intercept the conversation between DiCaprio and Lauren.
Presenter and news anchor Lauren can be seen gazing up in awe of Leonardo and listens intently as he spoke to the couple, gesturing with his hands.
Leonardo looked rather dapper wearing a black suit with a matching bow tie as did Jeff, whilst Lauren wore her long dark hair in loose curls with a long sequinned silver dress.
Viewers all over social media have commented on the video as they noticed Lauren fan-girling over the legendary actor.
One person wrote: “Find somebody who looks at you the way Jeff Bezos’ gf looks at Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Another fuelled the fire by saying: “When u got literal billions but ur not Leonardo DiCaprio.”
“Sis walked in with the richest man on the planet and risked it all when she got next to Leonardo” said another Twitter user.
One joked: “Leo is about to lose his prime membership.”
Bezos took to Twitter to respond to the viral video which has been viewed more than 10 million times.
Jeff shared a picture of himself posing behind a sign that said: “Danger! Steep cliff, fatal drop” and captioned: “Leo, come over here, I want to show you something…”
A source has confirmed that the duo are good friends despite Jeff’s playful tweet.
“They’re really close friends and have been for a while, [they find] common ground in the fight against climate change and their work in environmental activism” a source told Page Six.
It was also revealed that DiCaprio was actually the one who invited Jeff and Lauren to the gala and that they frequently go on holidays together with Leonardo’s girlfriend Camila Morrone.
Lauren took to Instagram after the Gala to post a picture with her centibillionaire boyfriend.
She penned: “Beautiful evening last night at the LACMA Art + Film Gala hosted by the amazing Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio.
“An amazing event that will benefit important museum initiatives, exhibitions, and programming for years to come.”
