GMB’s Charlotte Hawkins takes furious swipe at co-stars after Christmas snub

Good Morning Britain weather presenter Charlotte Hawkins has hit out at her co-stars after being snubbed on the programme.

Charlotte, 46, was looked over for the Christmas Day line-up, as Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold take the reins.

She looked understandably furious as guest entertainment reporter Vick Hope revealed the news that GMB will air on December 25 for the first time ever.

She said: “And the cherry on your Christmas pud, I can reveal ITV is airing Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning on Christmas Day – even though it’s a Saturday.

“Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway will be here to get you in the festive spirit, joined by our very own Christmas miracle – Richard Arnold.”

The presenter cheekily added: “I know I’ll be watching in my Rudolph pyjamas on Christmas Morning.”

But poor Charlotte was left on the back foot as she swiped at her co-stars: “Looks like I’ll be watching in my Christmas PJs as well, doesn’t it?”

The situation only got more dire as fellow weather presenter Laura Tobin said she would also be making an appearance on Christmas Day.

Charlotte has poked fun at the show in the past, particularly for its revolving door of presenters since Piers Morgan sensationally quit back in March.

She hit out at the show in August for playing “presenter bingo” as she took her seat next to Ranvir Singh.

Ranvir said at the time: “Charlotte and I are never normally in the same place at the same time, are we?”

When Charlotte agreed: “We’re not! This is a rare treat.

“It’s kind of presenter bingo at the moment though, you never quite know who’s going to turn up… But we have a few days together, which’ll be lovely.”

But it isn’t only Charlotte who has been snubbed on the show, as presenter Sean Fletcher was left “gutted” after being put in the same position.

Charlotte was hosting the show alongside Adil Ray, and the two snapped a selfie together while Sean sat off to the side.

Taking to Instagram, he wasn’t afraid to let it be known how “gutted” he was as he branded himself the “gooseberry on GMB”.

He wrote: “The definition of gutted: left out of this morning’s @GMB selfie.

“Two’s company, three’s a crowd with @adilray and @charlottehawkins1”.

Thankfully he looked to be kidding, as he added: “Of course I’m joking. They like me….I think.”
