Tipping Point viewers 'make drinking game' as they spot contestant's habit

Tipping Point fans spotted a contestant’s habit and couldn’t help but make a “drinking game” out of it as he sailed through the hit ITV game show.

Viewers tuned in for the latest instalment of the popular daytime game show hosted by Good Morning Britain’s host Ben Shephard on Friday afternoon.

As the TV presenter introduced the newest batch of contestants, viewers soon picked up on one player’s seemingly repetitive habit as he took on the game.

While the players battled against each other to rake in the cash for their individual jackpot, it was Wayne who caught the eye of viewers at home, who appeared to be frequently surprised at his success on the show.

When the star answered a question right, he would often note his shock by saying ‘wow’, which many fans picked up on as he progressed further and further each round.

It was when the teacher made it to the final round that viewers appeared to make light of his unique comment as fans wound down from a hard week of work with a drink.

Fans of the show soon took to Twitter to share their annoyance at the constant catchphrase online, with some users even making it into a drinking game.

One user penned: “Every time I hear the word ‘wow’ in #tippingpoint & ‘on good form’ in #TheChase I’m having a beer. Cheers all.”

Another viewer agreed: “Take a shot every time Wayne says the word wow,” as a third quipped: “Owen Wilson would like to meet this guy on #tippingpoint he doesn’t stop saying ‘wow’.”

Elsewhere, viewers found his habit grating as another user chimed in with: “Great get to hear Wayne say ‘wow’ sarcastically again.”

This comes after fans were left in stitches when one contestant was left red-faced after a pretty obvious bird question.

Presenter Ben Shepherd also had to keep his giggles in as he did his best to get on with the quickfire questions.

Host Ben asked Rianna on Thursday evening: “A silky is a soft feathered lightweight breed of which domesticated foul?”

To which Rianna replied: “A parrot.”

Ben then shook his head and responded: “No, a chicken.”

ITV viewers at home thought this as rather comical and stormed to social media to comment on her mistake.
