Strictly's Tilly Ramsay tipped to win with Nikita Kuzman chemistry by former contestant

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker has revealed she is backing Tilly Ramsay to win this year’s dance competition after she confessed feeling the pressure as the youngest contestant during her time on the show.

The 21-year-old took part in the hit BBC One dance competition back in 2019 and helped paved the way for social media influencer’s to slowly be integrated into TV stardom alongside her professional dancer AJ Pritchard.

Since she appeared on the show, more and more online influencers have taken to the iconic dance floor including fellow YouTuber Joe Sugg who made it to the final three and hit TikTok dancer Tilly Ramsay who is currently preparing for her eighth week on the show.

As the avid Strictly fan has been loyally following the latest series of the popular dance competition, the blonde bombshell confessed that out of the entire star-studded line-up, there is one particular contestant who has her vote.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, she revealed: “I’m really rooting for Tilly [Ramsay].

“I really want her to do amazing because I was the exact same age as her and a young girl, the youngest on the show. I’d only just turned 19 as well so I was the same age as her.

“It was the best thing I’d ever done but there was so much pressure and I feel like she’s got a lot of stick on the show so she’s got added pressure.”

The 20-year-old TV chef hasn’t had the easiest journey on the prime-time show after receiving vile comments about her body from LBC Radio presenter Steve Allen who branded her “chubby” live on air.

Saffron sympathised with the freshly-enrolled university student, as she added: “I can’t imagine how she’s dealing with everything and it’s tough being a young girl and feeling all of that pressure.

“For me, I think she has improved so much every week and I just love her relationship with her and her partner, so I’m rooting for her.”

But she isn’t the only star to have felt the devastating blow of hate comments online, as the online influencer revealed she also fell victim to a number of hate comments online.

She admitted: “I definitely did get [hate messages]. It’s not nice, and when you spend so many hours on a dance and people aren’t focusing on the dance.

“It’s pretty upsetting so I definitely do feel for her and I think it’s even more amazing that she’s like, ‘You know what? I’m getting on with it, this is me’ and I just think she looks absolutely incredible.”
