Gogglebox fans were left unimpressed with the latest edition of the Channel 4 show after witnessing gruesome animal scenes.
Complaints came rushing from angry viewers in after cast members were shown Netflix’s latest nature documentary series Animals.
The series follows some of the world’s most fascinating creatures and features Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, Parks and Recreations’ Rashida Jones, Bridesmaids’ Rebel Wilson and The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal.
The group of Gogglebox armchair critics watched a clip from an episode of Animal in which a pack of kangaroos were being chased by dingos.
When a kangaroo mother carrying her joey in her pouch started falling behind, both cast members and viewers at home started to become nervous.
The sense dread increased when the young kangaroo started to fall out of the pouch and was eventually left behind by its mum for the dingos to feast on.
Taking to Twitter, one fan moaned: “”Please stop showing horrific animal stories, like tonight’s Joey and Dingo clip.
“I avoid watching those programmes as they play on my mind, only to be tricked into watching them on your programme!! The warnings are too vague & insufficient.”
Another angry viewer added: “”STOP PUTTING THE HORRIBLE ANIMAL DEATHS ON GOGGLEBOX.”
A third person posted: “WTF Gogglebox?!?! You know you’re only supposed to ever show the animal getting away, escaping, running for it’s life and making it. That was not Friday night vibes at all”
While a fourth social media user wrote: “Is anyone else still traumatised after seeing the baby kangaroo fall from its mum’s pouch on Gogglebox?”
While watching the documentary series, Jenny Newby told a hilarious story about leaving her baby daughter outside a shop.
Lee Riley turned to his best friend Jenny and said: “If Michelle had fallen somewhere, you’d go back for her, wouldn’t you?” as the mother kangaroo kept bounding on to safety, abandoning its joey.
“Aww, I would yeah,” Jenny agreed, as Lee recalled: “Oh, no actually you left her outside a shop didn’t you, for two days?”
“No, not for two days!” Jenny fired back, as Lee said: “Oh, sorry then – a day.”

“No, not that long,” she insisted.
Lee attempted to reassure her as he put in: “But at least you went back for her.”
“No, I never,” Jenny admitted. “They brought her to me. My friend – I was in another shop, and she went, ‘Jenny, have you forgot something?’
“I went, ‘No, what?’ and she said, ‘Where’s Michelle and the pram?!'”
Lee couldn’t contain his hysterics, as Jenny collapsed into giggles beside him.
Gogglebox airs Fridays on Channel 4 at 9pm
