Strictly's Shirley Ballas, 61, strips off after awkward beauty blunder backstage

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas took to Instagram after judging the contestants on Saturday night’s episode of the popular BBC One dancing competition.

The 61-year-old head judge took to her Instagram stories to reveal an awkward mishap, that most-likely left her fans in fits of hysterics.

Shirley, who is also fondly known as The Queen Of Latin, gave viewers an eyeful when she took to her stories, wearing just a tiny white towel after taking a shower with her brunette locks scooped up above her head.

Covered in talcum powder, she then confessed that she had suffered an awkward mishap.

She explained to her followers that she had been trying to cover her body in talcum powder when the lid came off, leaving a white, powdery mess everywhere.

Speaking to her 220,000 followers, she captioned the post: “Made a mess with the talcum powder. Love the smell. The top came off. Lol. Oh dear.”

Shirley’s bathtime blunder came after she donned a beautiful blue dress on Saturday night, before fans were left unimpressed when the results were leaked on social media.

Within just 30 minutes of the show concluding, the names of the two couples who were in the dance off were being shared using the hashtag #strictlyspoiler.

Week eight of the competition saw Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu awarded 40 points for their Charleston.

EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis with her partner Giovanni Pernice, who scored 39 for their Couple’s Choice routine – which was a fan favourite among many social media users.

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe scored 38, while Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec received 32.

Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden scored 30, while Tilly Ramsay and Dan Walker both got 29.

AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with the lowest overall score of the night – 28.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs on Sunday at 7:20pm on BBC One.
