Strictly fans floored as they notice Giovanni 'saying F-word' twice on It Takes Two

Strictly stars Rose Aying-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice certainly got It Takes Two viewers talking as they appeared on the show to discuss their partnership with Rylan Clark.

As the pair got stuck into a game Rylan created, Rose played up her disappointment at not receiving a trophy for the win, while viewers were convinced that Giovanni swore.

“Did Gio just say ‘f**k that’ on TV at 6:40pm? #Strictly #ittakestwo,” asked one fan on Twitter.

Another echoed: “Did Giovanni just say ‘f**k sake’? #ItTakesTwo #Strictly.”

“I am LOVING that @pernicegiovann1 just dropped the F Bomb with @Rylan and no one noticed!! What a Don! Gio and Rose rock! #Strictly #ITT,” laughed a third viewer.

The professional dancer was on the BBC Two spin-off programme alongside celebrity partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, after a very special weekend in the ballroom.

The pair earned a near-perfect score on Saturday night with their Couple’s Choice routine to Clean Bandit and Zara Larson track, Symphony.

The groundbreaking routine featured a silent moment to represent Rose being profoundly deaf and to honour the deaf community.

After the emotional dance, hailed as Strictly’s greatest ever performance, Giovanni, 31, hugged his dance partner and was overheard telling the EastEnders actress “I love you.”

Speaking about their performance on Monday night with It Takes Two host Rylan, Giovanni said: “It was a secret because it was such a special moment.

“We had this idea. First, I asked whether [Rose] would agree to do something like this through the dance, obviously, I couldn’t just go ahead and do it because it’s very important – it’s me working in Rose’s world.

The pair received 39 points for the special dance

“She said it was a fantastic idea, so I’m very proud and privileged that you gave me a chance to come into your world, and me, to be able to share it in a positive story.”

Rose, who plays Walford’s Frankie Lewis, added: “It’s not very often that we get to show our world on a massive platform, on the TV like this.

“I felt like I wanted to tell our story, because it’s positive and a lot of people, like, when they find out their child is deaf, they think of their world as crushed, but it shouldn’t be. Being deaf is a gift.”
