Naga Munchetty was forced to tell off fellow BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay on Friday morning over Meghan Markle’s controversial interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared on the show to do a hidden microphone prank, which saw her pretend to be a kitten and sing a song at a craft stall – the lyrics to which were mostly comprised of “mew, mew, mew”.
She also sipped milk from a toddler’s bottle and wore cat ears for the occasion.
But though Naga and Jon were unsure quite what to make of the clip, Naga didn’t hesitate to let Jon know her true feelings when it came to him.
It began as she branded his behaviour “awful” as they prepared to discuss the interview.

Jon began by saying: “Six forty…. seven!” just as the clock ticked over, adding: “Ba-bum tiss!” – but Naga clearly found the quip irritating.
She replied: “Oh, it’s awful!” before launching into the segment about Meghan – but she wasn’t quite finished telling Jon off.
Naga began by saying: “Now, when members of the Royal Family do television interviews they can create headlines. Of course, remember when Harry and Meghan spoke to Oprah Winfrey just a few months ago.

“Media appearances by the Royals, though, have become a lot less formal than they used to be. But there was some new territory ventured into yesterday.”
Jon agreed: “There really was. The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show overnight.”
He sounded uncertain as he continued: “She pretended to be a cat, she went out wearing a hidden earpiece and the host in her ear told her what to do.
“Bit different from last time when she spoke to Oprah! Have a look.”

The pair then handed over to a clip of Meghan’s interview, before chatting to entertainment journalist KJ Matthews about the rather strange experience.
But it came as Jon attempted to replicate Meghan’s rather catchy song that Naga was forced to step in.
As Jon admitted: “I’ve got an earworm of that ‘Mew, mew, mew!’ I’ll be singing that all the way through today.”
Naga told him sternly: “There was no need to pass it on!”
“It’s going to be with me all day!” Jon admitted.
