Brian Conley makes savage dig at 'idiot' Bradley Walsh's job on Blankety Blank

Brian Conley savagely roasted his former co-star Bradley Walsh when he appeared on Blankety Blank.

The comedian couldn’t resist dishing out the banter to his mate Bradley when he appeared on the BBC One quiz show.

EastEnders actor Brian joined a star-studded celebrity panel of David Haye, Alex Jones, Jordan North, Esme Young, and Sarah Hadland.

However, it wasn’t long before host Bradley got himself into trouble with his pal Brian on the show – which aired on Saturday (November 20).

At the start of the show, Bradley welcomed his panel, and he came to Brian first, but Brian joked that the quiz show had gone downhill since Bradley started presenting it.

He said:” “Let’s go straight to my old mate, Bri. Welcome to the show Brian.”, to which Brian replied: “Thank you very much.”

Bradley then asked him, “did you do the original series? [of Blankety Blank]?”

Brian fired back: “Yes, with Les Dawson, when it was good…”

The studio audience burst out laughing as Bradley glared at him before shaking his head disapprovingly.

The late comedian Les Dawson presented Blankety Blank from 1984 until its initial cancellation in 1990.

Bradley went on to ask him about Brian’s recent role in EastEnders, but Brian mocked him again for the way Bradley tried to perform the iconic theme tune.

Bradley asked him if he’d been in a cliffhanger yet, to which Brian said: “In my first episode yeah. No, I’m loving it.”

Brian told Bradley he based his soap character on him, which makes him an “idiot”

That wasn’t the end of the ribbing for Bradley though, because Brian cheekily remarked that he’s basing his “idiot” character of Thomas Cotton on him.

Brian added: “I’m basing it [my character] on you, so he’s an idiot.”

Bradley couldn’t help but laugh as he turned away from Brian and pressed on with the show, and Conley was in fits of giggles too.

Miranda actress Sarah Hadland then decalred that double-act Bradley and Brian needed to be “separated”, and I’m A Celeb star Jordan North said it was like having “two drunk uncles at a wedding”.

Brian made his EastEnders debut on 18 May, and he pretended to be the father of Sonia Jackson, but he’s actually the son of Charlie Cotton and brother of Andrew and Nick Cotton.

Bradley himself used to be a regular in Soapland as he starred as Danny Baldwin in Corrie between 2004 and 2006.
