Adele makes savage dig at 'useless' exes as she makes epic return to UK stage

Adele didn’t hold back as she slated her former partners while performing tracks from her latest album.

The sassy Londoner showed her savage side as she took a swipe at her ex-boyfriend’s while answering a question from the star-studded audience.

Comedian Alan Carr asked the chart-topper what she thought her exes may have to say about her as they are the subject of her songwriting.

She then joked that they would say “no one like you” as she threw a low blow about their usefulness in day to day life into the exchange.

However, she was quick to say she wasn’t referring to all of her exes – who include former husband Simon Konecki – and that it was just some of them she was berating.

Alan asked: “Famously you write songs about your exes, if your exes wrote a song about you, what would it be called and what would it sound like?”

Seeing the funny side to the question Adele then replied: “It would probably be called no one like you I’d Imagine.

“I can’t imagine any of them would ever really be able to do it, because most of them couldn’t even do like a normal daily task, so writing a song, forget about that.”

“Most of them, not all of them. So yeah, I don’t think they’d get away with it.”

The celebrity-filled audience for her first show back in the UK on ITV was in hysterics as she gave her witty reply.

Adele has famously penned tracks about her former lovers since her musical debut back in 2008 with her first studio album, 19.

She subsequently released follow-up 21 in 2011. The release – which contained arguably her most critically acclaimed single release, Someone Like You – went on to become the world’s best-selling album of the 21st century, selling over 31 million copies and going 17 x platinum in the UK.

Her third studio album 25 followed in 2015 before she took a sabbatical from making music.

Adele’s latest album release, 30, was released on Friday.
