Halloween is one of the most iconic horror films, with classic villain Michael Myers causing havoc.
And while the cast of the movie haven’t been stalked by killer masked men in real life, they’ve certainly had their fair share of drama – with health battles and horror burglaries.
Hollywood A-Lister Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Michael Myers’ target Laurie Strode in the film, is 63 years old on November 22, 2021, and is loved by generations of fans for her iconic film roles.
Though it only had a budget of $300,000 (£223,000), Halloween went on to make a huge profit of $60million (£44m) at the box office following its release.
Daily Star has taken a look at where the cast of the classic horror film are now – from reprising their roles, to tragic deaths and career u-turns.
Donald Pleasence – Dr Loomis
Prior to playing Dr Loomis in Halloween, British actor Donald Pleasence OBE had a long acting career dating back to the 1950s.
He played Prince John in the 50s TV series Robin Hood and starred in iconic series including The Fugitive and The Twilight Zone, as well as reprising his role of Loomis in further Halloween films.
His last TV role was in Signs and Wonders as Cornelius in 1995, and the previous year, he had been made an OBE for his services to drama.
In his private life, the actor had also been married four times and had five children.
Donald died aged 75 on February 2, 1995 of complications of heart failure, following heart valve replacement surgery.
Jamie Lee Curtis – Laurie
One of Jamie Lee Curtis’ most famous roles was as Laurie – a role she has since reprised in numerous Halloween sequels, including most recently Halloween Kills in 2021.
At the premiere of the latest Halloween film, she even paid homage to one of her mum Janet Leigh’s most famous roles, by dressing up as Marion from the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho.
Talking about the film series to Variety, she said: “It’s the ultimate good versus evil.”
She also said that the combination of Laurie’s innocence with the evil of Michael Myers creates “a tension that you, the audience member, wants to protect her.”
Jamie has since followed in her famous parent’s footsteps (she is the daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh) becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
She has appeared in films including Freaky Friday, My Girl and The Fog, along with recent hits including 2019’s Knives Out.
Jamie has also been married to Christopher Guest since 1984 and has two children, Ruby and Annie.
Through her marriage, Jamie is Baroness Haden-Guest of Saling in Essex, however she doesn’t use the title as it “has nothing to do with” her.
In 2021, Jamie revealed that her youngest child is transgender, revealing that she was now called Ruby.
Nancy Kyes – Annie
Nancy Kyes (or Nancy Loomis as she is listed in the credits), played Laurie’s friend Annie who becomes one of Michael Myer’s victims.
After Halloween, she worked with Jamie Lee Curtis once again on films including The Fog, where she also met her now ex-husband Tommy Lee Wallace, with whom she had two children.
Nancy also appeared in programmes including The Twilight Zone and had a small role in Halloween III, before changing careers in 1992.
She now works as a sculptor in Los Angeles after ditching the Hollywood spotlight.
P J Soles – Lynda
P J Soles was another of Laurie’s friends Lynda, known for her catchphrase in the film – “totally!”
From there she hasn’t left our screens, appearing in hit shows including Knight Rider, horror film The Devil’s Rejects in 2005 and even made a cameo as a teacher in the 2018 Halloween film.
Her film work has also led to a number of high profile relationships, including marrying actor Dennis Quaid in 1978 after they met on the set of film Our Winning Season.
After they divorced in 1983, she was married to stuntman Skip Holm from 1983 to 1998, with whom she had two children.
Brian Andrews – Tommy
After roles in TV shows including Days of Our Lives and Kojak, Brian Andrews played Tommy, the boy who Laurie babysits in Halloween.
Brian continued to act in programmes including Quincy M.E and CBS Afternoon Playhouse during the eighties, but then took a 27-year hiatus from acting.
He made a return to the big screen in a genre he knew well, horror, with his most recent acting roles including Paul in 2015’s Sky Harbour.
Tony Moran – Michael Myers
Tony Moran played the menacing older version of Michael Myers in Halloween, but he’s not the only famous actor from his family.
His sister, Erin Moran, famously played Joanie Cunningham in the classic sitcom Happy Days from 1974 to 1984.
Tony has since appeared in a number of films and television shows, including eighties programme Chips and The Waltons, as well as being listed as starring in a number of films currently in pre-production.
Kyle Richards – Lindsey
Kyle Richards was just a child star when she played Lindsey Wallace in Halloween, who is one of the people Laurie babysits.
The star reprised the role in the 2021 sequel Halloween Kills, managing to survive another attack from an escaped Michael Myers.
But Kyle, 52, is much more recognisable on screens due to her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The brunette beauty, who is Paris Hilton’s aunt, has been a central cast member since it launched in 2010 and this year joined the cast of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
After her fame grew, in 2017 her California home was burgled, with $1million (£744k) worth of belongings, including jewellery and handbags, stolen.
She later saw a ring that was a family heirloom on a psychic’s hand in a photo that was shared by Diane Keaton but was unable to track the person down.
