Coronation Street’s Yasmeen Nazir is about to be put in grave danger next week, as a horrific fire rages through the cobbles.
It all starts as a suspicious Ryan demands Zeedan tell him what Hashim wanted.
Later, Zeedan opens his van and finds the bag of money has disappeared. Clearly onto him, Ryan enters No. 6 and plonks the bag of missing money in front of his friend, demanding to know where he got it.
Zeedan is forced into telling Ryan the whole story, explaining that he has to follow Hashim’s orders or face another pasting.
Ryan begs him to go to the police, but a desperate Zeedan refuses, adamant that Alya and Yasmeen can’t find out his terrible secret.
But, unbeknownst to him, during the lads’ argument, Alya has overheard – and demands to know what’s going on.
While the pair give nothing away, Alya heads off to work, hurt and suspicious of the boys. Despite Zeedan’s pleas, Ryan pops into Speed Daal and tells Alya what her little brother has been up to.
Alya rounds on Zeedan for the money laundering and demands to know Hashim’s number. But Zeedan, worried about his sister, is adamant she can’t get involved.
Zeedan later arrives at Speed Daal and is horrified to find Alya confronting Hashim. Alya then turns on her brother, accusing him of destroying everything their family has worked so hard for.
Yasmeen, meanwhile, meets Stu at the soup kitchen and invites him to enjoy a free meal at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Zeedan and Ryan are hatching a plan of how best to launder all of Hashim’s cash to get him off their backs.
Alya takes a call from Elaine, who reveals she wants to sell her share in the business.
Realising that they need to up their game if they’re to buy Elaine out, Zeedan reckons they’ll have to pitch the food van at the Christmas market.
But he soon receives a threatening text from Hashim and shows it to Alya and Ryan.
Frustrated that Zeedan beat her to it and secured the final Christmas market pitch, Debbie forms a plan to get the Bistro back on track.
Zeedan later discovers the food van has disappeared. Alya goes to call the police, but Zeedan stops her, revealing the van is full of dirty cash.
Hearing of the theft, Hashim tells Zeedan he wants his money – now. And if the only way to get it is to burn down the restaurant and claim on the insurance, so be it.
Zeedan is disgusted by the plan, but Hashim says it’s that or he’ll burn down Yasmeen’s house, leaving her in grave danger.
As the restaurant is engulfed in flames, Zeedan is horrified to discover someone is trapped inside.
Did he go through with Hashim’s demands or is someone else responsible for the arson attack?
Alya certainly reckons her brother is to blame, as she tears a strip of Zeedan, telling him she’ll never forgive him for the damage caused to their family business.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30pm on ITV
