Holly Willoughby introduced the newest member of her family to viewers of This Morning in a rare glimpse of her private life.
The presenter couldn’t hide her excitement when she showed off her new addition on the sofa – a golden retriever puppy named Bailey.
Perched between Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield the little furry bundle looked totally relaxed in the studio environment.
Holly said: ‘We’ve got a very special visitor here in the studio today.
‘I’m delighted to introduce you to the newest member of my family… this is Bailey.’
She then asked her pooch: “Are you going to say hello?”
Holly, 40, brought Bailey to work to help out with a segment about puppy training and care featuring resident vet Dr Scott Miller.
Admitting she didn’t know what to expect from a puppy Holly then explained how she had learned a lot since becoming a dog mum.
She said: “I’ve never had a dog before in my life so this is a really steep learning curve. I’ve got Bluebell the cat but… I’ve barely slept, I’ve got the baby bug. I’ve overthought this ridiculously.”
The sleepy five-month-old pup did her mum proud as she was the picture of perfect behaviour, happily snoozing on the sofa throughout the feature.
Holly however kept getting distracted by her fur baby as she gushed over her cuteness and referenced her similarities to a retro children’s movie icon.
She exclaimed: “She looks like Falkor from Neverending story there.”
Viewers on Twitter also couldn’t contain themselves when they caught a glimpse of the fluffy guest.
One wrote: “I’m also distracted by @hollywills puppy Bailey, she is adorable.”
Another added: “Bailey is soooooo gorgeous!!”
A third continued: “Bailey is such a well behaved puppy, so cute.”
There were even calls from some fans of the show for Bailey to become a regular co-host of the show thanks to her adorable demeanour.
One viewer said: Can we just have Holly and Bailey presenting every day please. I am in love. What a gorgeous doggie.”
Another backed the move saying: “Can Bailey be on every morning.”
