Medics rushed to Gwrych Castle after Richard Madeley fell ill in the early hours of the morning.
The Good Morning Britain presenter was rushed to hospital after falling ill at the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp.
The fellow celebs and production staff were left worried regarding his sudden illness as medics rushed in to help the TV star.
A source told The Sun of the ordeal as they described it as “horrifying”, adding that the campers were “upset and concerned”.
However, it has been reported that Richard was immediately taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution and he is now “on the mend”.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “Richard was unwell in the early hours and was immediately seen by our on-site medical team.
“He’s since been taken to hospital as a precaution, the health and safety of our campmates is our priority.”
The scare came after Richard was left feeling disheartened after struggling to get 10 stars for his campmates, despite still bringing home an impressive six.
His campmates remained supportive of the TV host and told him he had done his best.
Richard was incredibly excited before heading into the castle to face all the weird and wonderful challenges put to him by hosts Ant and Dec.
At the time, he said to various press: “I really hope I do get voted for the trials.
“You have to be prepared for people to laugh and I see this as a bl**dy great romp of fun.”
Since Richard entered the castle, he’s been getting ongoing support from his team at GMB, with a segment on the morning show dedicated solely to Richard Madeley’s Magic Moments.
His fellow hosts have certainly enjoyed watching him take on the tasks over the last few nights.
Richard is joined by multiple other celebs in the castle, including newbies Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson who will be entering in Thursday night’s episode.
Richard will be seen interacting with the two newbies, but it’s likely the following challenges will not include him as the star was rushed to hospital overnight.
