Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall is in secret talks about signing a solo deal with Ed Sheeran’s and Rita Ora’s record company after impressive solo music.
The 28-year-old pop singer might be following in former bandmate Jesy Nelson’s footsteps as she is reportedly been meeting with Atlantic Records over a lucrative solo recording contract.
A music insider has told The Sun: “Jade’s been working super-hard on the new music and those who have heard the tracks say they sound amazing.
“Jade has already met with Sony to talk things through but has really been impressed by Atlantic — and all signs point to her going with them.
“She has held top-secret talks with them and it’s all really positive.
“It’s well known Little Mix are going on hiatus after their tour next year and it’s no surprise that Jade is already working on solo songs.”
As well as music, Jade has appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
She has most recently signed with Harry Styles’ management company, Full Stop Management.
A source said: “Full Stop Management think she is going to be a huge star, just like Harry has become after One Direction went on hiatus.
“Jade has bags of ideas for her solo music and she’s already recorded some amazing songs that have impressed industry bosses.
“As well as music she is putting plans into motion for more TV appearances and there is no doubt she can become a mega-star in her own right.”
However, Jade is not the only member of the girl band looking for solo glory.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock is co-hosting next month’s Mobo Awards in Coventry following signing with Dua Lipa’s management company Tap.
Leigh-Anne is also starring in a new Christmas movie Bowing Day which fans can enjoy over the festive season.
Meanwhile, Perrie Edwards has launched a luxury clothing brand Disora, but the insider has insisted that Sony want the blonde beauty to sign with them for a solo record deal.
