Singer Frankie Bridge asked I’m A Celeb bosses to wash her pants – admitting they smelled of fish, it’s been said.
The star reportedly begged producers to wash her dirty clothes as they stank of fish guts and offal after the gruesome trials.
The Saturdays hitmaker was, luckily, granted her wish from the team and the other celebrities quickly followed suit and were given permission to wash their dirty laundry too, a source has claimed.
It’s believed to be an I’m A Celeb first that stars have been allowed to have their clothes properly washed in the show, as previously stars fend for themselves out in the elements in their surroundings.
It comes after the 32-year-old, along with the other celebs, were whisked offset for their own safety after the chaotic Storm Arwen caused havoc.
They were evacuated from camp and ITV had to get them out of Gwrych Castle, Wales, where the show is filming this year.
A source claimed to The Sun: “Frankie only asked two questions when the celebrities were taken out of came, did Storm Arwen affect Surrey where her family are and could she wash her knickers?
“She really petitioned hard for her pants and moaned that they stank of fish guts and offal.
“Inside the castle the stars only have basic washing facilities and Frankie knew they’d still reek even if she was able to wash them.
“ITV bosses took pity on her and gave her the green light to give them a good wash back in isolation.”
The insider said the other celebs were offered the same luxury after the conditions in the camp have been tough this year.
Frankie also admitted earlier in the week she sprays her knickers with perfume in. abid to keep them smelling fresh.
Her husband Wayne competed on I’m A Celebrity in Australia in 2016.
It’s hoped the show will return on Monday with a live show after shows were cancelled for the week due to the damage caused by the adverse weather.
It was the first time the series had shows cancelled since its beginning.
In a statement, ITV said: “Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle.”
