Amanda Owen reveals huge career news after bittersweet Our Yorkshire Farm finale

Amanda Owen has landed an exciting new TV role away from her family on Our Yorkshire Farm.

TV shepherdess Amanda and her hubby Clive Owen have been at the centre of the Channel 5 show since it first aired on our screens in 2018.

The hard-working parents have won tons of fans who have become emotionally invested in the farming family who work on the idyllic Ravenseat Farm in Yorkshire.

The big move comes after fans watched the bittersweet series finale, and uncertainty whether the family will stay there.

They stay on Ravenseat in the Yorkshire Dales with their nine kids – who help their parents out with a number of tasks on the farm.

However, mum Amanda is set to leave Ravenseat behind for her next television role as she has now joined BBC series Winter Walks, on BBC Four.

The BBC series is set to premiere on Monday (November 29), and it will see Amanda present the show first.

The mum will hike from Bainbridge and Semer Water as she explores the fells between the two spots in Yorkshire.

The star said: “It feels just a bit strange because I’m on my own. There’s nobody nipping at my heels, there’s nobody asking questions.

“That’s not to say that I don’t like being out and about with the family and the children – of course that’s great – but the old analogy, a dog being like its owner, is true.

“Because sheep dogs can’t switch off. They just want to work, their minds are buzzing. That’s how I feel.

“So many different things coming at you from so many directions. A bit of headspace is good for everyone.”

Amanda added: “As a shepherd and a hill farmer you do not set out on a walk for no reason – so this is a bit of an adventure, really.”

Amanda has won loyal fans since she became a reality TV star, and has recently released a number of popular books such as Tales From the Farm.
