Christmas time is best spent with family and loved ones – but it’s not always a time to celebrate on soap land.
As the Coronation Street residents gear up for the festive period, some shocking bombshells are about to be dropped which could see a White Christmas turn completely dark.
In episodes airing the week of December 13, Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Curtis is finally exposed, but could get major payback on those who trusted him.
Adam and Sarah could end up splitting again, and Summer continues to feel awful about herself.
With just two more weeks until 2022 after these episodes, what else can ITV bosses squeeze in!?
Curtis exposed
As Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) is babysitting she goes to turn off boyfriend Curtis Delamere’s (Sam Retford) doctors DVD.
But she’s confused when she hears the doctor using the exact same phrase Curtis had used when tending to Harvey on the night of the storm.
Emma talks with Gemma Winter (Dolly Rose Campbell) about the coincidence, but are left horrified when they realise Ruby has swallowed one of Curtis’s pills.
At A&E, Emma shows the doctor the pills, explaining about his heart condition.
But she’s confused as she’s told that Ruby is absolutely fine as the pill was a vitamin.
When Curtis gets home, making out he’s exhausted from his run, Emma confronts him – but will he come clean?
Later, Emma returns to the hospital and asks Dr Handley about Curtis’s condition, but he refuses.
Instead, a frustrated Emma calls Neville, Curtis’s dad, but will he spill the beans?
Eventually, Curtis finally admits he’s not dying, explaining he faked illness when his parents were getting divorced as he enjoyed the attention, but then he couldn’t stop.
Emma asks about his medical training and he admits that was all a lie too.
She tells him she’ll never be able to trust him again and orders him to pack his things.
But before long, Steve (Simon Gregson) rings to tell her about the £4,000 Curtis raised and that they want to thank him.
Could Emma have a change of heart?
Theft horror
The drama doesn’t end there though, as Emma goes with Curtis to his psychologist appointment.
Curtis explains how he’s spent years convincing people he’s dying because he likes the attention, but says he intends to get better.
He tells Emma he loves her and the next day, their wedding, could be the best day of their lives.
But will Emma go along with the wedding?
Amy McDonald (Ellie Leech) tells Emma she shouldn’t go ahead with it.
Meanwhile, unaware of the truth, a drunk Steve hands Curtis his bank card and PIN, asking him to transfer the £100,000 they raised into Oliver’s charity account.
Viewers will watch as Curtis opens his laptop and takes out Steve’s bank card.
But will he do as Steve asked, or take the money and run?
Adam and Sarah split fears
Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is sick of Adam’s (Sam Robertson) reputation as a ladies’ man and questions him over how many women he’s actually slept with.
Later, after a successful meeting with Gavin’s PA Lydia (Rebecca Ryan), Sarah invites him for a drink.
But when Lydia sees Adam, she looks at him as if she recognises him.
Sarah meets up with Lydia and her son Finn and introduces them to Adam.
Lydia turns pale and hints that she had a relationship with Adam at uni, and makes her excuses before leaving.
Sarah stares Adam down and he admits the relationship was years ago and he can hardly remember her, but Sarah is unimpressed.
The couple argue about Adam’s past infidelities but Sarah’s phone suddenly beeps, reminding her she’s ovulating.
In the most unromantic moment ever, she drags him home.
But will they be able to work through their issues?
Summer struggles
Summer (Harriet Bibby) tries to apologise to Daniel (Rob Mallard) but she’s hurt when he makes it clear he isn’t allowed to talk to her.
At school, she sees him fly out of his classroom and discovers the word “paedo” scrawled on the board.
Later, Summer feels frumpy as she looks at photos of Daisy.
In a bid to cheers her up, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) takes her to the Bistro for a meal.
But after eating a burger, Summer feels guilty.
Billy is oblivious to what’s going on, and tells her she’ll smash her Oxford interview.
