Kerry Katona swipes at ex Atomic Kitten bandmates after snubbing her in reunion

Kerry Katona has confessed that she’s disappointed that she’s been left off the reunion – but she claims that the snub has helped the girlband get press.

Atomic Kitten originally comprised of Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton and Kerry Katona, who was replaced by Jenny Frost in 2001.

As the trio decided to reunite to tour with boyband Blue for their 20th anniversary concerts in September and October 2022, Kerry was left off the invite list.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star Online’s reporter Carly Hacon, Kerry said: “Well you know what’s good for the girls, the fact that I’m not on the line-up – that’s what’s getting them the press”, before adding a wink.

She said: “To this day I don’t know what it is I’ve done. I love the girls to bits, I went through something with them that I’ll never go through with anybody else in my life.

“I wish them nothing but love and happiness.

“I’m so jealous, I would love to be on the stage with the girls – I really would!”

Before Kerry signed off her chat about Atomic Kitten, she spilled a final bit of gossip as she said: “It’s great music, I just find it all really weird because when I was doing the big reunion all they used to do was slag Jenny off and now they’re back with her.”

Kerry left the popular group in 2001 after she became pregnant with her husband at the time Brian McFadden.

Her departure came shortly after hit single, Whole Again, was released, which ultimately went to number one with replacement Jenny Frost featuring in the music video.

When it came to organising The Reunion in 2013, Kerry was chosen to return over Jenny, with Jenny telling Closer magazine at the time she “wasn’t in contact with them anymore”.

However, following a reported falling out with Kerry in 2018, she announced that she was no longer a member of Atomic Kitten, and it has since been confirmed that Jenny will be back on stage with Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton next year.
