Julia Bradbury shares 'chink of good news' amid breast cancer battle

Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury has shared an update on her health as she continues to battle breast cancer.

The British journalist had a mastectomy in October after she was diagnosed and she has been sharing updates on her health on social media.

Julia has now shared a “chink” of good news with her 178,000 Instagram followers.

Taking to her page, Julia shared a snap of herself lying in bed with a quilt partially covering her eyes, as she told her fans she’d had her first proper sleep since coming out.

Julia penned: “Morning all. Had my first full night of sleep last night, since my diagnosis. No middle of the night wake-up. Whoop whoop.

“Have a good day folks. It’s all about the little chinks of ‘good’.

“Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.

“By the way for this struggling with sleep in this instance I asked Rupert, an amazing reflexologist, to concentrate on my sleep (lots of big toe work!) – and voila.”

Julia’s followers took to the comments section to share their well wishes.

One social networker said: “Happy Friday gorgeous!”

While model Jodie Kidd commented: “big little steps honey !!! Full nights sleep magical xxx.”

Davina McCall added: “Yay! To the little wins.”

And Amanda Holden posted a red love heart emoji.

Julia Bradbury’s followers shared their well wishes

Julia, 51, had her left breast removed in October after finding a lump and being diagnosed in September.

She shared a powerful topless image of herself shortly ahead of her surgery.
