Things were certainly heating up during a previous episode of Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, as celebrity contestant Fern Britton jokingly told Iain Stirling to not “patronise” her.
The former This Morning presenter was certainly on a roll when she took on the famous machine and went up against the other celeb players on the ITV quizzing show.
But when Love Island’s Iain was on hand to offer his support regarding her counters that fell from the machine, Fern wasn’t too keen on his advice.
When Fern’s counters didn’t fall in the place she wanted to, Iain sarcastically said: “That looks nice there…”
But Fern snapped back and said: “Don’t patronise me.”
Laughing at her response, Iain tried to reassure Fern and told her to look out for the counters that fell down in a dramatic fashion.
Fern managed to successfully beat off Iain and Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli and headed straight into the final round.
However, the star also proved that she had both beauty and brains as she answered several of the questions correctly that were fired at her from presenter Ben Shephard.
Fern’s luck certainly didn’t run out as she also attained the £20,000 counter from the machine.
Jumping for joy, the presenter told Ben that she will be donating her winnings to Shuktara Trust UK, which is a charity that helps young children with disabilities.
Tipping Point fans were also impressed with Fern’s win and headed straight to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One delighted viewer said: “@Fern_Britton well done excellent performance on #tippingpoint this afternoon with@benshephard. Looking amazing too! Miss you on the Tele.”
Another penned: “Great performance on Tipping Point Fern. Well done.”
While a third shared: “@Fern_Britton well done! Brilliant.”
The news comes after Fern recently spoke openly about being single and embracing the changes in her life.
Speaking openly to Good Housekeeping in October, the star said: “The last three years have been very hard; I lost my parents, I lost my marriage. I lost my other home in Buckinghamshire, too, because Phil [Vickery, Fern’s ex-husband] lives there now and I’m in Cornwall.
“But the magic I’ve found here is incredible. I’ve made some wonderful girlfriends and that’s been a lovely surprise.”
