Kadeena Cox says unaired MS struggles forced I'm A Celeb campmates to intervene

Kadeena Cox has revealed the struggles she faced with her MS during her time on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! that wasn’t seen on the show.

The star who was axed from the reality programme on Monday night due to receiving the fewest number of public votes spoke openly to Lorraine on Tuesday morning about her health via video link.

Speaking candidly to the presenter, the Paralympian said she was unable to have her wheelchair while on the show and her campmates had to help her move around the camp.

Kadeena explained: “The best moments for me were the moments weirdly was when I was really ill, I had a few kind of days of not being well.

“But just the camp being around me you know and everyone being worried about me, checking in on me and people helping me to walk around because I couldn’t have my wheelchair in there.

“So just having you know Adam, Danny and Louise and Frankie just being like my walking sticks.”

She added: “It was really great to have that kind of support and also be able to have people that you know see a little window and to go into what it is to have MS.

“So it was really nice to showcase MS and show other people with chronic conditions and invisible illnesses that you know we can still crack on with life.

“We can be really happy in life, it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom.”

The star went on to say that MS hasn’t stopped her from living an amazing life.

“I when I was first diagnosed thought it was the end of the road since then I’ve lived an amazing life. I probably better than I ever would.

“I just want to show people that the days will be hard, we will have moments when it’s tricky.

“It’s ok to be sad and it’s ok to be vulnerable but you got to just pick yourself up,” she concluded.

Elsewhere in the interview, Kadeena spoke about her friction with Naughty Boy in the kitchen and admitted that it was “tough in there.”

She also mentioned that she has her money on former BBC presenter Louise Minchin to win the show.
