Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid said farewell to her colleague Ben Briscoe who is leaving the programme to take on a brand new role.
At the end of Tuesday morning’s programme, the host said her goodbyes live on air and informed viewers that he will be “missed”.
Susanna said: “Just before we go to Lorraine, just wanted to say a huge thank you to our lovely Ben Briscoe who is leaving us for pastures new.
“He is our producer this morning, going to miss you Ben.”
Presenter Lorraine Kelly who was waiting in the wings to announce her programme also said she will miss Ben too.
But the farewells didn’t stop there, as Executive Creative Director & Head of Studio Output at NewsUk also wished him well on his final day via Twitter.
However, he also hinted at what the producer will be doing next.
Taking to Twitter he penned: “Wishing my friend @BenWBriscoe a great final morning as he leaves Good Morning Britain after many years.
“Looking forward to reuniting soon and launching our new global prime time show together in 2022 with @piersmorgan #TalkTV @SkyNewsAust @foxnation.”
Ben replied: “Thanks Erron. Great memories together in the @GMB gallery. Looking forward to making lots more.”
The producer will most likely work on Piers Morgan’s new programme which will launch under Rupert Murdoch’s owned network next year.
Talking about his new show previously, outspoken presenter Piers expressed his excitement regarding his new role.
He said: “Rupert Murdoch has been a constant and fearless champion of free speech and we are going to be building something new and very exciting together,” Morgan added.
“I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be vigorously examined and challenged.”
In a statement, Rupert Murdoch said: “Piers is a brilliant presenter, a talented journalist and says what people are thinking and feeling.
“He has many passionate fans around the world and we look forward to expanding his audience in the UK, at Fox Nation, Sky News Australia, The Sun and the New York Post.”
